I found Emma's work to be quite quirky and playful. She discussed how the death of her husband, know making her a widow has inspired a lot of her work, which I found to be fascinating that a sad time in her life she has turned it into a positive by painting the memories she shared with him.

After seeing her talk I decided to go see her work in person. Some of her work was being exhibited in The MAC.

As expected, her work was even better in person, it was filled from beginning to end with heart-felt detail.
