Fine Art Lecture

Artist given during the Lecture.

DOUGAL MCKENZIE & BILL KERRY LECTURE

Fine art was never something i thought i would consider as i thought it was a very specific art form when in reality it is quite a broad subject.
I enjoyed seeing all the past students work from their final year exhibitions. The ones that i found most captivating i wrote their names down in my book in order to research a bit more about their work as Dougal only showcased one or two of their work.

I really enjoyed Bills part of the lecture as i never consider print making to be in the fine art category. Bill was very clear in saying that students need to be very dedicated and independant in this department. Also your hard work may not always turn out how you wish but there can be happy mistakes. Bill showcased some of his own work and discussed how he is still an active artist in the printmaking field and uses the workshop available to him to his advantage when he is free.
